Pixlings
How we handle your data — spoiler: we don't.
Last Updated: March 22, 2026
The short version: Pixlings operates entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers. Internet access is used exclusively to check for and download updates for custom Pixling packs you've imported — and only when you choose to check for updates.
Overview
Pixlings is developed by Bleelblep. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Android application designed for Nothing Phone devices.
Information We Access
To provide its functionality, Pixlings accesses certain device information locally:
Device Sensors and Status
- Battery Status: We monitor your device's charging state and battery level to display relevant animations on the Glyph interface.
- Motion Sensors: We access accelerometer data to detect device movement and trigger motion-based animations. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored.
Notifications
- Pixlings uses Android's Notification Listener Service to detect when notifications arrive from apps you've selected.
- We only access the package name (which app sent the notification) to trigger animations.
- We do NOT read notification content, titles, messages, or any other notification details.
Phone State
- We detect incoming calls to automatically pause animations, allowing system call UI to take priority.
- We do NOT access call logs, phone numbers, or contact information.
- This feature is optional and can be disabled in settings.
Installed Applications
- We query your list of installed applications to let you choose which apps should trigger notification and music animations.
- This information is used solely for the app selection interface and is stored locally on your device.
Media Playback
- We detect which app is currently playing media to synchronize music animations.
- We only access the package name of the media app, not the content being played.
Information Storage
All data is stored locally on your device:
- Preferences: Your app settings, theme choices, and configuration options are stored in local SharedPreferences.
- Database: Pixling configurations, your app selection preferences, and optional activity statistics are stored in a local SQLite database.
- Custom Animations: Any custom pixling animations you import are stored in the app's private storage directory.
- Activity Statistics: If enabled, local statistics track event counts (notifications, motion, music, charging) for the Statistics dashboard. This data never leaves your device.
None of this data is transmitted to external servers.
Your Control & Choices
You have complete control over Pixlings functionality and data collection:
- Master Toggle: The "Enable Pixlings" setting in About allows you to disable all app functionality with one tap, without uninstalling. When disabled, no animations play and no background services run.
- Activity Tracking: You can disable activity statistics tracking at any time in About settings. This stops all event collection for the Statistics dashboard while keeping animations active.
- Per-App Control: Choose exactly which apps trigger notifications and music animations in the Allowlist settings.
- System Priority: Control when Pixlings pauses (during calls, for Glyph Timer) or manually pause via the Manual Pause toggle.
- Data Deletion: Use "Clear Cache" in About to delete temporary files, or uninstall the app to remove all data from your device.

Third-Party Services
Pixlings does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app does not contain ads.
The app uses the Nothing Glyph SDK solely to control the Glyph LED interface on compatible Nothing Phone devices. This SDK operates locally and does not transmit data externally.
Data Security
Since all data remains on your device, your information is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device encryption and app sandboxing.
Children's Privacy
Pixlings does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal data from any users, children can safely use the app.
